Collection: Elective Courses
Elective courses give you the flexibility to shape your PLCGS certificate around your research interests and career goals. Every certificate program includes elective credits — and how you use them is up to you.
Smart Ways to Use Your Electives
- Choose courses from another country certificate to earn an additional certificate alongside your primary one
- Round out your expertise with courses from a complementary specialty area
- Explore topics that deepen your research skills in areas you're most passionate about
Note 1: The following courses may not be used as electives: Librarianship courses, and the 3 Analysis and Skills Mentoring courses (Parts 1, 2 & 3.)
Note 2: Some courses may require an add-on fee to be used out of your elective pacakge such as Latin for Genealogists or Lecturing Skills.
Browse the elective courses below and choose the ones that best fit your certificate and career path.
